Two People Are Born The Day You Give Birth, But We Only Prepare For One Of Those Births

The Birth of The Mother

Everyone talks about preparing for the baby.
Almost no one talks about preparing for you, the woman who is about to be born in the process.

Pregnancy isn’t just the start of a new life… It’s the start of a new identity.
Your body, mind, relationships, priorities, and sense of self will undergo significant changes.
And while the world tells you to buy gear, pack a hospital bag, and choose a stroller…
No one teaches you how to prepare for this transition.

Most moms enter postpartum shocked by how much they weren’t told:

• “Why didn’t anyone tell me I would feel like a

     stranger in my own body?"
• “Why do I feel so overwhelmed when I love my

     baby so much?"
• “Why is no one checking on me, only the baby?”
• “Why do I feel so unprepared emotionally?”
• “Why am I the only one struggling?”

You’re not the only one.
You were underprepared, because our culture prepares women for birth… but not for becoming a mother.

That’s the gap Pregnant & Prepared fills.

Education and Preparation Last Longer than Newborn Onesies

The baby's clothes will fade.
The gadgets will break.
The blankets will wear thin.

But your preparation?
That lasts.
Your mental health?
That matters.
Your transition into motherhood?
That shapes everything.

Pregnant & Prepared is the gift that supports you not for weeks, but for years — because the identity shift of motherhood is not a moment… it’s a journey.

This course helps you step into that journey feeling grounded, confident, supported, and ready.

Designed by a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist Who Lived This Experience

I didn’t create this course from theory.
I created it from expertise and lived experience.

As a Perinatal Mental Health Certified professional (PMH-C) who also walked through postpartum depression, anxiety, identity loss, and the overwhelming shift into motherhood… I built the course I desperately needed.

You’re not learning from someone outside the experience — you’re learning from someone who understands it clinically and personally.

Every module, every lesson, every tool is something I wish someone handed me before my own transformation.

Founder|CEO The Whole Mom

Hi!  I'm Dr. Nicole, CEO and Founder of The Whole Mom, a perinatal mental health and wellness organization specializing in coaching and education for expecting and new moms around the mental health aspect of postpartum.

I'm a mother, a wife, a podcast host, an author, a  PSI board member, an advocate for maternal mental health, and most importantly, a perinatal mental health specialist and two-time survivor of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

I found myself on the opposite side of care in 2018 after the birth of my first child, and then again in 2020, realizing not much had changed.  I suffered silently with perinatal anxiety and postpartum depression, and after getting well, I opened my organization and began building programs to support the gaps in care I experienced during pregnancy and postpartum.

Everything I create is done through the lens of extensive training, coupled with lived experience, and a genuine understanding of what it feels like trying to push through the challenges of postpartum without proper education or a plan.

Working with and communicating with hundreds of mothers, one point ALWAYS remains the same;  We all wish we had known MORE, and better prepared.  So, that is what I am giving to you with this course.

What My Clients Have to Say

Kate H

I started working with Nicole when I was 2 months postpartum and dealing with anxiety, heavy emotions, and feeling unstable all around.  I was having challenges with sleeping, communicating with my husband and finding my identity as a new mom and business owner.  Working with Nicole over the course of 3 months I began to feel more empowered and patient in this season of motherhood, leading to confidence that is shaping me into a better coach down the road.  I came to the realization that my mother wounds were showing up for me now as I became a mother and the need to work through those.  I am deeply appreciative of Nicole and how she helped me realize that I can be better through this.
